What we know, and what is missing

The Pirate Shop Token chance in a normal match is 1 in 137,500 per opened chest, about 0.000727%. FortniteStatus published this on November 7, 2026. The linked Reddit relay reproduces the announcement; the original FortniteStatus post is also linked.

The announced Pirate Shop Token chance is multiplied by 1.5 during Treasure Hours. The November 7, 9–11 p.m. ET session specifically used 2×, or 1 in 68,750. These are dated announced rates. Check new announcements before applying them to later events.

FortniteStatus says treasure rates have been constant since launch outside Treasure Hours and do not change throughout the day. Rewards other than Gizmos cannot repeat. This does not publish a pity counter or prove the old gold-outfit ownership theory.

Normal-match treasure drop rates

FortniteStatus’s November 7 announcement lists these normal-match rates. The weekly gold outfit is rarer per chest than Pirate Shop Access. Separate rewards do not establish a bonus for owning a gold outfit.

Calculated from the published Pirate Shop Token chance: 1.5× gives approximately 1 in 91,667; 2× gives 1 in 68,750. These are conversions of the announced multipliers, not additional ratios quoted from Epic. Use the dated sessions above, not an assumed future schedule.

One lucky run cannot establish a drop rate

Earlier 1 in 700,000 and roughly 1 in 2,000 estimates predated the published 1 in 137,500 Pirate Shop Token chance. One winner’s chest count cannot replace the announced per-chest rate. No verified skin, creator-code or paid-service boost appears in the sources.

How to read the result

The calculator uses 1 − (1 − p)n for independent openings with a constant p. At the normal Pirate Shop Token chance, 1,000 openings give about 0.725%, and 137,500 give about 63.2%. Average waiting time is not a guaranteed chest count. Model an event separately when its rate differs.
